Hello Everyone,
At the moment, we're processing our evidence from our latest and my first Investigation. We haven't finished holding meetings to discuss the conclusion of the case (if any). So, whilst that is going on in the background, I thought I would keep you guys in the loop with some of my own thoughts.
On the days leading up to my first Slaps case, I thought carefully about how I was going to approach it. Whilst I had certainly visited houses claiming to be haunted, I wanted to maintain an objective viewpoint from what the client was telling us and what was actually happening. At the same time, as a psychic, it can be very difficult to ignore those inner feelings that come forth and I promised myself that I'd be honest to the team and tell them if I picked anything up.
The Slaps members, Nate, Donny and Beth had not told me anything about the case, which was one thing I had asked of them. I needed to know for myself that my information was genuine and forthcoming.
Meeting the Slaps team in the parking lot of a McDonalds with my flashlight in hand, the first thing I noticed was how welcoming and friendly everyone was. I found them very open minded and easy to talk to. They all lived for what they believed in - Slaps, and that was an amazing feeling. I can be weary of groups - but I instantly felt attached to Slaps due to their determination and professionalism.
Its not a joke. Peoples' genuine fears are at stake. When Slaps is called, its usually because people have no where else to turn. To acknowledge that "something" outside the realm of normal might exist can be scary to people who are none believers. Skeptics.
A good friend of mine once made the simple comment "We all have a choice" when it came to acknowledging the paranormal. We certainly have the choice to explore, as science always does. If we can land on the moon, why is it so impossible to think that paranormal activity might also exist? My position as a psychic to Slaps is to sit on the fence. Not only will I use my intuition for good, I'll also check the equipment, take into account factors like the environment, the history, and sometimes the psychology of those involved. I can't claim to be an expert in any of them other than my gift - but knowledge is power, and for me to limit myself purely as "just" the psychic would not help the team.
My thoughts: There is time in the paranormal field for science to grow further. In the meantime, it means us psychic's have a job. :)
Before I tuck myself into bed for the evening, I'd like to say a giant thank you to everyone who has been reading this blog so far. I intend to blog again soon but feel free to add your wonderful comments. Many thanks, your support for Slaps is well and truely appreciated and I love you all. Bless and goodnight.
We are a not-for-profit organization called S.L.A.P.S-the St Lawrence Association of Paranormal Science.
